Welcome! Each month we highlight a member of the Zen clan. With two purposes. First it’s an opportunity to recognize you for your many accomplishments. Second purpose is to eradicate the scourge of ignorance and give everyone a chance get to know a member of our illustrious organization. Afterall everyone of us in Zen is an individual are we not. We all have a mother and a father. We all have hopes and dreams. And if you prick us do we not bleed? If you tickle us do we not laugh?

Anyway, this month it’s your chance to learn about this member of the month-- LSD (known to us as Bob)

I had an opportunity to sit down with Bob and chat with him about his hopes and dreams.

Harry:
First of all let me congratulate you becoming member of the month. You had to compete with about 10 other candidates. It's quite an achievement wouldn't you say?

Bob:
Heheh yeah. I wasn’t expecting it.

Harry:
Each player chooses his game alias carefully. Giving due consideration to the name. Is it to strike fear in the hearts of men? Or is it to give a false sense of security to a potential enemy? How many vowels and consonants do I use? So what is the story behind your name?

Bob:
I got stuck with my name I hate it I’ve been trying to think of something to change it to. I got noticed under a stupid name. You know that upside down Pepsi name I was drinking a Pepsi at the time Laughing out loud. Then I wanted to shorten it up so I shorten it up to LSD. So I didn’t have to type that stupid name all the time. I thought of it spur of the moment. So it doesn’t have any significance.

Harry:
How did you find out about CTF?

Bob:
That’s a good question. Hehe. I’m trying to remember. I know I heard of it through modDB a long time ago. I was playing this game postal And one of the clans that was I’m pretty good friends with they had a couple of people that played back in the day when it first came out and they told me about it and I checked it out but I didn’t like it because I just wasn’t into half-life I was into other games at the time. But I think it was through another game, another clan that I heard about it and tried it out.

Harry:
How did you get into First Person Shooters? What is your history of gaming?

Bob:
Well half-life 1 was the first person shooter that I played on a computer a long long time ago. I didn’t have a computer for a long time up to about five years ago and when I was a kid my buddy had a computer, their family did and they had internet. Him and his brother were into online games. I never played them before. His older brother bought half-life and he showed me Team Fortress classic and I never seen anything like it before with the classes you can be a spy and change clothes and I just loved that and stuff. And pyro and stuff I never seen it in a game before and that got me interested in on-line gaming. And after that—that was when I was a kid. Went over to their house and played it a ton. About five years ago I bought postal when I bought that computer and I’ve been playing that ever since then. I played a little quake and unreal but I didn’t really get into those. And postal is an unreal game. So I’m really used to the unreal engine. That’s pretty much it. I played team-fortress classic for about a year when it first came out and a little half-life 1 dm and postal and counter-strike and hl2.

Harry:
What advice would you have to gamers aspiring to play at your level?

Bob:
That’s a hard one.

Harry:
Well this isn’t’ gonna be easy. This interview’s tough.

Bob:
Play lots of Mario brothers.

Harry:
Any pre-game rituals?

Bob:
Laughing out loud Pre-game ritual would be smoking marijuana and drinking coffee.

Harry:
So is that your favorite drink? Coffee or Pepsi?

Bob:
Water’s my favorite drink. I don’t really like soda. If I’m drinking soda I’m usually drinking something with it like whiskey or something.

Harry:
Ah something hardcore that’s the kind of person you are. So how would you describe yourself?

Bob:
Uh laid back. Procrastinator. Friendly I guess.

Thanks Bob!
